We
work closely with all the denominations through Churches
Together in Lutterworth. In 1999, we changed our
name from 'The Church in Lutterworth' to 'Churches
Together in Lutterworth' to bring us into line with most
other churches around the land. We have organised the
usual United Services, Ash Wednesday followed by the
Lent Study Course, the Advent and Carol Services, as
well as Exchange Pulpits during the Week of Prayer for
Christian Unity.
Through
'Churches Together in Lutterworth', we co-operate with:
St. Mary's Church of England ...
built in the late 13th. century and
having a long and noteworthy history. John Wycliffe
was the rector of the Parish from 1374 to 1384.
Wycliffe Methodist Church...
which unites with all the Methodist
traditions in the history of this town, showing
something of its roots in this town with its name of
Wycliffe.
Our Lady of Victories RC ...
which serves the Roman Catholic community
under the guidance of its long-standing priest, Father
Feeley.
Chapel Street Christian Fellowship ...
is a 'pentecostal-rooted' fellowship
occupying what was a Baptist Chapel.
Lutterworth Community Church ...
is a recent concern in the history of the
town and is in the tradition of the English House
Fellowships.
